Leigh Egan

Expert Guru

I have had a love for writing for as far back as I remember. From writing about playgrounds and lollipops in Kindergarten, on up to politics and music in college, writing has always been a big part of my life. I started as a staff writer for my local college newspaper, while also working full time as a business marketing rep. More recently, I've become a web content writer on a variety of subjects ranging from music, baby products, parenting tips, beauty and health, music, and college level research papers. I've also dabbled in a bit of ghost writing on subjects such as teenage pregnancy and musician biographies. One of my cherished specialties is being a work at home expert. With over six years experience, I have learned the ins and outs, and the do's don'ts of surviving in the work at home office.

4 Tips from Leigh Egan

Don't Pass up those Thrift Stores

Many would be surprised at the gems that can be found in thrift stores. People will try on a brand new pair of designer jeans, and then give them to charity if they don't fit. If you are a parent, then you know how fast children outgrow their clothing. Don't be surprised to find a $70 pair of Tommy Kids jeans hanging on the racks at a thrift store for a mere $5.00!

Ways to Find a Work at Home Job

Never pass up the work at home forums where other fellow work at home people dwell. The majority of people there have been through the ups and downs of the work at home life, and can advise you on how to avoid the pitfalls. There are almost always plenty of leads and opportunities shared by others who have already weeded out the scams on your behalf.

A Simple Solution for Cleaning Blood Stains

Ever had a nose bleed or maybe a scraped knee that somehow ended up staining your carpet? Milk not only does a body good, but it can do carpet good too. Pour a small amount of milk over the stain (whole milk, slim milk, 2%, they all work). Wait a few minutes then scrub away vigorously. Sprinkle some water to get all the milk out of the carpet, and amazingly, the blood stain is gone.

Timing is Everything

Having a baby seems to come as easy as breathing to some, but not quite as easy to others. During the 12th through the 16th day after the first day of a woman's last menstrual cycle is the ideal time to get your baby making on. Although there are pricey alternatives available, a little knowlegde of your body's signs and a calendar can work just as well.
